That is just wonderful Siris. You can hardly believe nature can be so clever.

After saying that I can grow the yellow ones that love the pond side. Will have to keep looking at yours and enjoying them. :O)

Steragram, think I detected a scent as well.
Linda, Breeders have given nature an opportunity to express herself.
Olive, bearded Iris don't like wet, yellow pond side Iris, if pseudocorus love moisture.

Chose to buy Iris with orange beards and space age ones last year, pleased with the ones that have flowered so far, disappointed knocked the head off one, and lost the best one to slugs over the winter.

Did you buy them in France? or are you sending to France for them?

Dd, I ordered them from the supplier's on line catalogue, but I visited their open day last year, succumbed to some more, when I saw them in flower. Iris are not moved when in flower, but from 6 weeks after till about September.

What else?
See who else is growing Iris germanica (Orris).
See who else has plants in genus Iris.
