Haha, I know, wouldn't that be great. We lost all the early leaves to frost hey ho. about 12 years ago this one was big enough to get under but the area was more shaded then, before we pulled the hedge up to open up the new garden.

How I love Gunnera! Even though I have the wet ground I can't grow it here, our winters are much too long and cold. Handsome plant :-).

Yes Amy, sadly they like it damp. Shame Lori, this one has come through a bad winter 6 years ago, we had minus 20 conditions and freezing all day and night for weeks, I thought I had lost it but it pulled through, the new leaves emerge in April and we always get a frost but it bounces back.

Love this plant, ours has trebled in size........want to be able to walk underneath it one day lol!!
