polyphemus moth (Antheraea polyphemus)

I noticed it flapping in the grass and thought at first that it was a baby bird. It is about 5" wide

Thank you Cariad18, It was not easy to get decent picture as it was constantly flipping and flopping. I think they are nocturnal and this was in broad sunny day.
