This orange alstro is one of the few that appears each year, but, it is not called by that name.

I bought 6 from Hayloft several years ago Dd 2 each of three varieties, tiny bits of root and I didn't think for a minute they'd grow but all did and were planted out in the garden early last year and they all flowered!!, they were labelled Sirius Callisto and Flirt , my labels have long faded as to which is which but looking at their pictures the other two are pink? a dark and a pale which I do have, pale pink not flowering yet.

Elvira 's covered in buds too Siris;-)
That's if the little fox cubs haven't trampled her, 2 o'clock this morning 3 of them were playing in that area eeeek :-)

I didn't mean for you to go checking out pots at 2 in the morning, Simbad.

Haha oh I didn't Siris , I was woken by a strange noise put the light on to find the fox cubs playing, no damage done , well apart from the weed suppressant being pulled up on the path they must've been looking for slugs or something little monkeys :-)

Gorgeous and fox cubs too, bless, how nice.
I fancy an Indian Summer but I need to get an established one due to the snails, slugs, are they really hardy?

Daylily has Indian summer Dawn I was just looking at her picture the other day , lovely one,the slugs and snails haven't bothered mine weirdly they have completely decimated a clump of aster next to them though , obviously the aster were tastier!!!
They've been fine in my garden Dawn mind you the longest has only been planted out two years so not had to contend with any really bad winters yet.
Yes the fox cubs were lovely to see , must remember to tell the new allotment holders down the garden who are building a chicken run !! , mind you it looks very well made, sure they've already been told of the neighbourhood foxes who've been around here longer than we have.

Dawn, my Indian Summer survived last winter with no protection but as Simbad says it wasn't too harsh was it, it seems a really strong grower, Karen has it too, funny today I went to Gardeners World Live and they wanted £12 for it and I only paid £7 last year for a large plant from local GC :-))
