Interesting. Mine are fine, no slug damage. They (slugs)find plants that must by tastier than this.

I find slugs don't always favour the same plants each year probably down to weather and growth of the plant,if it is very lush and lax they seem to make for it leaving more established stems and leaves alone,if you think about it thats what we do eat the freshest and crispest,,

So they are not as stupid I thought they were :-) But it is true, they do prefer young shoots. They decimated my dahlias when they started to come out. Slugs and rabbits both. and slugs love my rhubarb.
