Rabbit destroyed seedling of this plant last year but to my delight it came back this year. My clematis "first Lady" disappeared this spring so I hope to get it back next year.

It almost reminds of the flowers on my Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee' shrub...which almost died from extreme drought conditions. Luckily, it's coming back! :>)

I am happy about it too. They do open to almost flat and loose this trumpet shape within a week. Hope your Allamanda will be OK. They are lots of them around where we winter in Mexico, Lovely plants, begging for attention.

Yes, my Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee' is coming back strong since I drilled holes with an auger around the plant and have been watering it more. I cut it way back. Luckily, it's an extremely fast growing plant.

Thank you for your comment Green_finger. It has several more flowers now and few buds. I am quite happy about it. Colour of the photo is very true which is sometimes difficult to achieve.
