Isn't it wonderful when a sight, or even a smell, can bring cherished memories to mind, that you haven't thought about in ages.

Yes, it's incredible to think what we have stored away and sometimes a simple thing can unlock the door, sometimes a smell can take me back to a place and I remember a part of a book I was reading at the time, it's crazy, Flcrazy! Or do you have a dream that you've dreamed years and years ago and you know that place so well, but never been there? I'm going nuts, were supposed to be talking gardens here!

I know what you mean Janey. My strongest memory like this was about eight years ago, I was at my mother's house and I was walking out behind an old chicken house about this time of year, a sweet smell in the air made me come to a dead stop, all of a sudden, I was twelve years old again, playing hide and seek with my two younger brothers. The imagine brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. I went that very evening and dug up a seedling and planted it in my yard and it is in bloom now as we speak ! Just incase you're wondering, it is a Clerodendrum trichotomum tree.

Lovely story, Flcrazy, is that the tree the butterflies love? Well, there was a reason for you to put it in your garden, and now its a favourite of butterflies,
