Potentilla "Helen Jane" flowering in the front garden, from seed. Thank you Simbad.

Most plants in the front garden flower earlier than any similar in the back. There is just a hint of pink on a tight bud on the one in the back garden, and Monarch's Velvet not even showing in the front yet. Recta is a picture, front and back, but I have tied it upright to a stick because it was flopping over everything.
Front and back ...syn....belt and braces!

The Monach has not flowered yet, maybe just planted out seedlings of Helen Jane, or thinned out, by mistake?

I think I may have given you some seed or seedling. In with the Strwberries? The leaves do look a bit similar. I weeded out the yellow Recta cause I thought it was a creeping buttercup, luckily I had another, what a floriferous plant, if a bit straggly, but I have tied it up to a stake.

Lovely one :-)

It is not too dense, so doesn't swamp the surrounding plants.

I love the colour of this one :-), last year one seeded through a paler pink rose somewhere I'd never have planted it but it looks great mingling, yours is earlier than mine .
