Thanks ladies! the flower colours change from week to week but the form and texture of the 'greens' in my garden please me the most.

Now we need another photo of this, as it's several weeks later! (Lovely, by the way!)

thanks Spritz...you won't recognize it...lol. I went in with a vengeance two weeks ago and redug most of the bed under the tree...in drier times the tree had rooted shallowly and the bed was always dry,and remains so even though we have had lots of rain this season. My hostas that thrived on the north side or the tree...were struggling on the south side so I decided to move them to more hospital places. so I dug pockets for my perennials. I'm not really sure if it will help my perennials or stimulate the tree! but the front is looking much less full.
