Rose of Sharon is a lovely plant & I like the flowers very much! So much so that I wanted to name my daughter Rose of Sharon when she was born - 42 years ago! As she was born in Spain the laws at that time stated that a child with a foreign name had to have a Spanish translation. We called her Sharon (Sara, in Spanish).
Her mother only ever uses the Spanish form whereas I only ever use her English name!
