I have it only for couple of years Sheila and it is doing very well. Maybe too well. It a fast growing tree. 6' /year for me and wider than taller. Very graceful branching and shape. It is in almost full sun and fairly protected. We are protected from winds where we are positioned on the Island and I have the hardier version of it "Albizia julibrissin"
I am thinking to buy the red leaf Albizia julibrissin 'Summer Chocolate' . I have seen one and fell in love. I believe it is listed to be hardy to -5c. But I do not go by these lists I know we can grow much more tender plants and trees then suggested by greenhouse business. They have to protect themselves.

Lovely Klahanie. My Acers are just losing their leaves but the autumnal colouring has been super.

Thanks Linda for your comment. Ours are starting to lose their leaves as well.

Beautiful medley. I have been wondering about getting an Albizia, Klahanie (also called the silk tree here) - is it perfectly hardy for you?
