Thanks Sandra, they can take some time to get established, but, once they start forming a clump, it worth the wait!

I was gifted two bulbs from Shirley,but sadly,they only ever grew the leaves..this last winter,they had disappeared altogether,which was sad..I did do as instructed,and planted in a warm position,against a small south facing wall,and left some of the bulbs just showing..They weren't meant for my garden or me,by the sound of it :o(

You never know.....can take a few years, and suddenly they appear.

Dd, I dug up my v pale pink to see why it is not flowering and has no leaves. The bulb was firm, with the tiniest piece of geen leaf, good roots, but it has reduced in size by 1/3rd. BUT, there is a daughter bulb clinging to the side, so I think it would start to grow leaves but only later. As you say takes time.

Mine were rubbish this year, only 2 flower stems. I think the leaves died back very soon too.

They vary depending on the summer, and the slugs, Gf, I was determined to beat the slugs this time, and it worked!!
