We did fleece it last year Angela it was a new sale bargain ,it was quite small at the time I can't believe how much it has grown this year ,I have a black one as well ,most of these were priced between £16-£14 reduced to £4.00 , who could resist ....

Angela I think you may well be right I believe the labels were probably mixed up as they were all in a sale ,I do have a label for Phormium 'Rainbow Queen ' which this looks more likely to be , it leaves me wondering where the Cord.aust. Var. can can cabba is ?

Well Amy, I really was not sure to be truthful, it could have been either, both have the same colour foliage.....

I love these,Amy,but lost both mine some years ago..I tied the leaves up and fleeced for winter, but then,I didn't know to unwrap them on decent days,so they rotted inside ..I would know better now ! Lol x

Lovely Amy. When I protect my plants, we get a windy winter day and the fleece ends up blown all over the garden lol. We cant win can we.

Dawnsaunt, I don't have any success overwintering either, like yours it either blows away or the plant rots, that's why only the tough ones for my garden.

My plants look like statues when I cover them Lol I don't place the fleece in close contact with the plant I place a frame or sticks a little distance from the foliage to let them breath ... I might not cover so many this year just to find out how hardy some of them are are .

Looking at its rather stiff growth you could be forgiven for thinking it might be a Phormium, do you have to fleece these Amy?
