Japanese Maple "Crimson Queen" as seen today from the living room. There are lots of birds seeking a shelter in this tree, including hummingbirds.

Me too Amy, but they do. We have dozen feeders around for hummingbirds and several feeders for the other birds. We like to have them around.

Klahanie:
I can't believe the hummingbirds live in the snow. We have lots of hummingbirds here. They'll start nesting here in San Diego in mid-to-late January.

These hummingbirds cannot believe it ether Delonix1 :-)
We usually have it somewhere between 5 and 10 Celsius and only occasionally dipping to 0 or even -1...but last night was -5 and with the 90% humidity it feels like -10.
They are tough little critters. They survive because people feeding them (I think).

Wow! That's horrible cold!
Yes, the food will keep the hummingbirds' little bodies warm.
