Narcissus tazetta 'Grand Soleil d'Or'

Narcissus tazetta 'Grand Soleil d'Or'

This type of Narcissus is great for warmer gardens. The regular large-flowered types usually die after a couple of years because they need colder temperatures than what I can give them.

Hi Wylie , a lovely looking specimen .
We find it difficult to decide if it will be warm enough or cold enough of late . In our area we only had two frosts all of last winter , but two years prior to that we had ice and snow . Thus far this year , two frosty "patches".
How cold do your winters get ?

The normal for the next 2 months will be above 50°F (10°C), but it does get down to 5°C for a day or two. No frost, but the dew point gets to ambient temperature, so the grass stays too wet to mow, and there is nothing worse than walking around through long, wet grass... grrrr!
