It's beautiful! The tree looks like a huge Ficus retusa (or microcarpa). It's a common tree here that grows to be a giant!

You're right Stan, the climate is very similar to ours, but not dry, actually we have had a lot of rain this beggining of summer. Storms to be precise.
I have no idea about that tree, but this is not new, I'm not a literate in recgnizing trees. :)

No,no,I meant the Canary's are dry. The Bay Area here Aleyna has many plants from your part of Brazil. Queen Palms,Pindo Palms,Jacaranda and Boungainvillea..Philodendrons.
Except,to grow them here we have to water them all summer. Luckily those are not especially hard to keep happy. Standards for the exotic yard here is .. What grows in your local woods!

The climate of the Canary Islands are similar to San Diego. It's just slightly warmer there (on average) in winter.

Although I lived the better part of 30 years in Spain I never got to the Canary Isles, or to the coastal cities for that matter!
That's a stunning view! :-))

The Canarys? must be much like a drier southern Brazil.
