Lovely delicate little flowers.

They look very pretty, Brian. I like to see them growing in people's gardens though I don't have any myself.

One year, quite some time ago,I did have a couple on the balcony during the winter but I can't remember now what happened to them. They probably died or most likely I'd still have some plants. Any plant that does successfully for me ends up getting propagated & perhaps living for years on the balcony!

what you see in the picture is different to the miniature cyclamen you see in garden centres and some supermarkets 95% of them are bred from a Cyclamen called Persicum which grows wild in north Africa where they are not used to excessive wet or cold,not sure where yours originated but could account for their demise
the plant in the picture while still a relative of the aforementioned is found throughout europe an altogether more hardy.

I thought it didn't look much like the ones I seem to remember on the balcony! I don't think I have any photos but I do a search & see if I can find any.

These as seed or small corms are a good Companion to a smallish containerised shrub or bulbs that are left for a number of years with out repotting they are totally hardy.
You can replant but they sometimes sulk.

very pretty flowers- one of my favourites.

I found some photos which date back to 2005! In fact I grew them several years on the balcony - though they don't look like they are all the same plants.
