I've notice the days are much brighter now.

I've heard you've had some nice days, lately. It's 73 degrees here right now. What a difference after one of the strongest storms in 30 years hit San Diego this past Friday and Saturday.

I can't wait till we get back to daylight savings on March 12th.

We had a taste of Spring the past fews, now it's cold again. Brrr! I heard about record rainfall and damn bursting & rivers flooding in California. How bizarre after a record dry spell.

That's good...maybe spring isn't too far off.

Yes, the rainfall in most of California has been extreme this year (breaking the 6 year drought in most of California). We didn't get as much rain as forecasted, just the very strong winds. Los Angeles area had 5 - 8 inches! That's almost the whole season's total rainfall in one day!

It's not too bizarre to receive lots of rain after years of drought, though. Here in San Diego we received twice the normal rainfall in 2004/2005 season after a 7 year long drought.
