Have recently purchased one of these Amy.......how hardy is it please? and what conditions suit them?

Angela I've had mine for 3 years I have it in a large pot outside all the year round protected by a large shrub , I leave the large old leaves on until it blooms and then take them off making it better to see the flowers obviously leave the new foliage on , the slugs love them it make sense to sprinkle a few slug pellets around the base , I have lots more buds ready to bloom you can just about see a couple behind the ones in bloom in the photo ... hope this helps its a fascinating plant ...

Thank you ,the flowers are very close to the soil which is a shame as the foliage tends to hide them ...
