just thinking the same thing, more buttercup than gold but then gold comes in many shades.

LOL that's true. They never stay still long enough for anybody to get a closer look, but this is why I grow sunflowers. They are quite comical to watch. Sometimes they have to hang upside down to get the seeds...and they bob up & down when they fly.

Thinking about it that colour is very similar to border canary,which I think originates from the canary islands ,makes sense although never given it much thought before.
