That would be nice Sandra I'm afraid I can't get away at the moment the only way to solve the problem would be for you to come down for a weekend and get one for yourself Lol .

One of these days,Amy..one of these days ! lol x

4 Aug, 2017

There is a fig tree down the road and most of them end up on the pavement.

What a waste Linda I would wait for them to drop into my hands Lol , Thats not fair Waddy :o( It's a mystery Dawn I don't understand that at all it must be sterile if there is such a thing with figs :o( ...

Lol Amy, to be honest I think its lack of sun, one is in a huge pot, needs moving to a south facing wall x

Is John still going through the ' to do' list Dawn Ha ha , your poor toe did you ever have it seen to ? you might have broken a bone !

6 Aug, 2017

Haha Amy, John cannot get on top of the list. My toe has damage to the nail bed, wore high heels last November and it started the problems again, nail fell off and currently averting another in growing toenail x

Oh Dawn I'm not sure whether to say Poor John or Poor Toe Lol sorry its not funny it must be very painful for you ... they say more injuries are coursed in the home / garden x ....I've been watching Poldark ,I'm so annoyed at having to wait another year for the next installment :o(

6 Aug, 2017

I've had lots of garden injuries Amy, I need to be more careful. We love Poldark too, hate George, love Ross ?

7 Aug, 2017

Most of mine have been garden related too,Dawn..and ashamed to say,my own fault ,for not being more careful ..and I am so going to miss Poldark too..let's hope Demelza sees the error of her ways ! choosing Hugh over Ross ??? no way ! lol

8 Aug, 2017

Hi Bloomer, oh dear, I'm so clumsy in the garden too. Poldark!
I know, I liked Aunt Agatha, especially when she told George the truth, lol, wish they hadn't killed her off. So Demelza has the perfect husband and then that, tut

Your figs look really beautiful Amy...and yummy! I am trying one against my greenhouse and it has three lovely fruits growing on it, even though it's only about 3' high and 1' across so far. I hope they get as big and juicy looking as yours.

9 Aug, 2017

Mine has bounced back from it's indoor winter..sitting in a pot in front of the greenhouse... no fruit, but as they say: "Where there's life..there's hope!"

Thanks karen you're off to a good start enjoy them , Maybe another year Lori fingers crossed :o)

9 Aug, 2017

They look wonderful Amy, as good as any I've had in Greece. They turned them inside-out to eat the flesh straight from the tree.

11 Aug, 2017

LOL.. reminds me of a BBC drama, I Claudius, in which Caesar Augustus thinks he's foiling his poisoning wife by eating only the figs off the tree in his garden... little did he know his wife was poisoning the figs on the tree! I think Brian Blessed played CA and Derek Jacobi played Claudius. Ashamed to admit it but I can't remember the wonderful actress who played Livia.

11 Aug, 2017

Lori, it was Siân Phillips.
