Thanks both, GF I am very attached to my duck planter... usually has thyme in!!

I'm thinking of digging my thyme up, it's spreading all over the place - maybe I should look for a duck too.

We lose most of our thyme, have lost count of the number of plants we have bought, they hate the wet winters we have...

Mine is on a border that is sloped more like a bank really being as my garden is on a hill so maybe it drains away from it.

That would be enough to save it from being drowned!!
