Pink Syngonium

Pink Syngonium (Pink Syngonium)

My 16 year old Pink Syngonium is growing so well in the spot it has been at for 14 years years, under the picnic table (or plant table). Last year, because of the severe drought it was so dried out I thought it could be dead. I cut it back this spring and it has come back so well this year. Photo taken Oct. 4, 2017.

Yes, it's a very pretty plant. I'm glad it came back after I cut it down, also. It's always liked this spot. It's a very easy plant to grow as long as it's given water.

Yes it is by cutting it back has helped it survive that drought . Do you water it a lot or just a little.

I cut it back and put new soil in the pot, also. It was given a lot of water, which has helped it grow a lot. :>))

Balcony,

Thank you. It's a common plant here. I just had it so many years I didn't want it to die.

Stan,

It does tolerate more heat. It gets quite a bit of sun, also.

Stan,

It's been so horribly HOT!!! I can't take it anymore! LOL! Monday night didn't go below 75ºF (24ºC). There was a very slight 3 mile north-east wind that kept the temps up all night and then in the morning when I got up it was almost 80ºF (27ºC). It's still hot. The record highs are very high this time of year, so San Diego County only had a few, I think El Cajon and Ramona had record highs.
