Gardenia vietnamensis - Vietnamese Gardenia

Gardenia vietnamensis - Vietnamese Gardenia (Gardenia vietnamensis - Vietnamese Gardenia)

This Gardenia has such an incredible sweet fragrance. The fragrance last even after it fades and shrivels up. Photo taken Oct. 16, 2017.

Thank you. There's more flowers on it now. They will dry out really fast in the extremely hot, dry weather, though.

Your welcome Andy thats great shame you did nt get another photo. Sad that its flowered only for the heat to dry the flowers could nt you of sprayed the with water.

There's more flowers. I may take a new photo tomorrow.
Spraying water doesn't help when the humidity is only 6 percent. :>((

Wonderful I shall look out for it.

Shame spraying does no good

Great!

Spraying helps for 2 seconds! lol! Plants can die from extreme desiccation from the very hot, dry Santa Ana Winds or a SOSA (Sort of a Santa Ana).

My poor papayas and even my larger Plumeria trees have burned leaves from this really horrible heat wave!

You will have to get some sort of shade for them all Andy for times like this.

Shade doesn't help when it's super hot and the humidity is at 6 percent. This is why I liked my little pop-up greenhouse. I could put plants in there and spray water in there, close it up and the humidity would rise enough to keep the plants happy.

Ahrr I understand . You will have to get a bigger pop up green house and make your bigger plants happy.

There's definitely not enough room for a larger pop-up greenhouse. I could possible put on where the tent is in the back yard. Maybe I may do that. The tent is in pretty pretty bad shape! It needs to be taken down. It need something there for shade-plants.

Shame you could nt make a collapsable hinged fold down veranda for shade .

I've thought of it . There's a big ornamental shade cloth sails that I see used a lot here. I need to find out how much it cost. It looks like it can be a lot of work to set up, though.

Here's what it looks like.

Yes that looks a better idea could nt you clip 2 sides to a building tgen two poles set up for the other two sides.

30 Oct, 2017

It has to be very sturdy just in case we receive really strong Santa Ana Winds.

1 Nov, 2017

Could you not fix it so it can be easily detached one side if you get the Santa Ana Winds .

1 Nov, 2017

It most could; however, during the Santa Ana Winds is when I would need it the most . The Santa Ana Winds are what brings the extremely hot, dry conditions to Southern California.

The only other thing then I can think of is a Gazebo.
