Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera truncata) First flower of 2017 to open in the kitchen on 31st October 2017
Should rightly be called Thanksgiving Cactus as it flowers from October to the end of the year.

They are delightful....

They are such a vibrant colour as well as being slightly more unusual to most of the plants we grow for their flowers.
I also have dark red & salmon pink ones as well.

We used to grow them many years ago, not sure why we stopped.....I think they became unfashionable possibly!! and we liked to try new plants etc...
