One of my neighbours has a lovely cat that I look after sometimes and I love her to bits.

I'm sure your neighbor appreciates you as I do mine.

We have a lovely community spirit here Paul and we help each other out. The town itself is lovely too and there are some lovely small shops to visit, and a few supermarkets. I try to support our local shops as well as buying food at the supermarkets. I put an order in to my local butcher every few months and he gets it all ready for me to collect, then I put the meat in the freezer.

Sounds like a wonderful place to live Linda. My neighbor, an elderly woman who lives alone, is too happy to take in Costello whenever I have to travel for work. He makes her laugh & smile (I named him after the comedians 'Bud Abbott & Lou Costello'). Sometimes I get the feeling she's reluctant to give him up when I come home and Costello knows how to work it to his favor. lol.

That's really lovely Paul, Years ago when I had my one eyed adopted Siamese Twinkle...she used to visit the neighbours and they loved her. Cats are great company and good companions.

Yes they are I'm convinced they can read our minds.

Twinkle was more like a dog and I taught her to sit, stay, roll over leap into the air, jump over my legs and give me her paw. She could also knock over a plastic tumbler to get the biscuit underneath. When we went to view the cats at the cattery, she chose us. The staff opened her pen and she climbed all over Gerry, then we went to fetch her and they said she wouldn't go into the basket we took and she walked straight in. We were told to keep her indoors for so many weeks before letting her out, and I had an open garden to raise funds the next week, but we let her out early and she loved parading round all the people who visited. She was a very special and loving cat. (dog).

lol. That's a great story Linda. Amazing what a little love can do.
