Crown-of-Thorns is planted everywhere here in San Diego, CA. because it's super drought tolerant and flowers all year long. Photo taken Jan. 1, 2018 in the Dry Garden in Balboa Park.

There's so many people here in my neighborhood who have large collections in front of their houses. I've never taken any pics, either! They have the very large bract-forms of pink, red, and yellow. I really like those very large bract-forms of Crown-of-thorns. I've never seen them without bracts, either.

HD had them...vastly over potted in 5 gallon pots for like $30. The plants were more of a 6" pot size.
In spring,I'm going to look for them in the indoor plant area.

That sounds very expensive! There so easy from cuttings.
I need to take some pics of the ones around here. I just drove by some really nice ones this morning. I was very tempted to stop the car and take some photo; however, I was on my way to work.
