Dawn, one of the most useful plant directories of all time.....we have been buying it for over 20 years! don't expect photos.....there are a few coloured ones in this one, but that's an exception!

Thanks Dawn - I have ordered one!

Have you Sheila, nice one :-) let me know what it's like :-)
Following your recommendation I bought Bloom's Best perennials and grasses and now have a list of plants I want :-))))))
Just googling right now to see if they'll like my conditions :-)

So glad you're enjoying Mr Bloom's choices. I will let you know about the Plant Finder when it comes, but I do know that I'm more relaxed looking at a book than a website!

Thanks Sheila. Yes, there's something about picking up a book.
Are you OK and excited about your gardening year? :-)
22 Jan, 2018
Sorry Sheila just come back on, have been busy painting cupboards I use this to find a plant that I want, also who sells it, where to buy, whether they have a website, also I like to find the latest up to date varieties, such as hardy geraniums daylilies etc also where to find the national collection of a certain plant, it is really a reference book, I bought mine from Amazon because I am a prime member.....and you can get nearly new books too!

Thanks Dotty - yes, I also use Amazon quite a bit, but also try to alternate with my local bookshop, to support them when possible. This sounds really good - thanks for letting us know!

Yes Dawn! We ordered a greenhouse today, and are now waiting for two quotes for the “build”. Hoping one of them can start before the end of February.
23 Jan, 2018
A greenhouse! lucky you, wish we had the room!
24 Jan, 2018
Gracious Angela - I’m amazed at what you achieve without one!
25 Jan, 2018
Wow, a greenhouse, how exciting, another 5 weeks then and it should be all action :-)
25 Jan, 2018
Sounds a good ref book & that was a reasonable price £12.36. Have fun with your greenhouse.l'm envious as I haven't got either the space( or cash) :-(
