This new section called "Africa Rocks" just opened a month ago. It has several Mazari palms. This palm is extremely hardy (among the hardiest palms in the world). It loves very dry conditions, though. Photo taken on Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the San Diego Zoo. Jan. 15, 2018.

DD2:
I've ready it can be grown in cooler and wetter conditions. It may be one you can try there (if you can find it for sale). It's not a very common palm.
