Moraea sisyrinchium

Moraea sisyrinchium

Also known as Gynandriris sisyrinchium. This only opens on warm days, and in the late afternoon, so easily missed. Grown from seed. You can see that on the left is another bud getting ready to bloom; and where another had bloomed a couple of days ago.

This is one of those collector type flowers. They are so short lived, they really don't add a lot to the display. And the only way to get them is by growing them from seed.
