We have a distorted hazel in a pot Dawn, and every year we get a few hazelnuts on it. I chop them up and use in a scone mixture. The catkins are lovely.

Nice Linda. I suspect the squirrel would get any from ours.

Linda, I've only managed to get a couple off ours in the past. After seeing Amy's 'cob nutter' tree a few years ago, I bought one, no nuts to date, Amy could collect a bucket full from hers!

Perhaps it's something to do with the weather Dawn, the catkins have been coming out early the last couple of years and it's been cold. The pollen is windblown to pollinate the flowers....methinks!
