Do you treat like an alpine or is it in normal soil!

A real treat to see Siris..

It is in the border, but is in danger of being swamped by the Oxalis (on the left). I'll have to watch that!

I've just bought the white one, I think I will mix a bit of grit in the soil when planting.

I have tried many times to grow these ... just don't thrive for me ... :o((

Indeed Dawn, especially as I dug a couple from Mum's garden and our soil was similar.

I don't know alot about their requirements. I remember my dad collecting seed and growing easily but they never seemed long lived and Dad was a very good gardener.

I think they like well drained soil, Chalky even.

A few years ago somebody suggested I grow them in pots, never got around to it though!

I might put mine into a pot of really well drained soil Shirley.

I think that would suit it Dawn ... go for it!
