Dawn I have a Fatsia started out smaller than this it now towers over a 6ft fence yes some of the leaves go brown and drop but not all and new growth soon comes.

I have the standard fatsia but it does get frosted, yours has done well 3d.

I,m keeping my fingers crossed ,when we moved here our daughter told us that as it's near the sea they never have frost or snow , it wasn't true we've had the lot Haha .. she says it's been an unusual year .Mmm we'll see ! ..

Thank you Dawn not sure what one I have I ve put a photo of my Fatsia on for you both Amy and Dawn its facing the coldest part north east of my garden over lapping from my back garden fence on to my front garden .

Amy this one can with stand up to 10 degrees below in a sheltered position like a building 7 to 8 zone it must go in the ground though . Perhaps some hay straw or mounded leaf fall around it in harsh winters might help.

As you know, Amy, it's been a very wet cold & mucky winter but my Fatsia is looking good. Your coast in N.Norfolk is quite different from say Dottie's down in the south so time will tell but it is surprising how the plants adapt.
