The Japenese would love it as its a winding path not straight so the devil can't sit in it so I once read years ago.?

Sat out there with OH yesterday evening, and I asked him which bit he liked best . . . wait for it . . . he said "sitting looking at it with a beer"!!

Perfect response I’d say! I sat and looked at mine yesterday evening with a glass of Cider, and it made me feel very happy and blessed. I know exactly what he means! :)

You're right Karen, and he had been working very hard in the garden. He then added that he liked my planting, so we're both happy :)

I am looking forward to seeing it all grow and flower beautifully Sheila! :)

We’re trying to improve the terrible soil, so some planting has to wait. It’s a slow process but enjoyable. Maybe it will be party time by the end of June?!

Btw Karen, how are your “Japanese” Gypsophilia? Mine are about 3” tall now:)

About the same as yours Sheila. I planted them out this week, so hopefully no frosts!

It's been well worth waiting for Sheila, I love the trellis area and the seat in the sun at the back, such a pretty design, yes as everyone has said....you have a lovely summer enjoying it..x

Lol! Tell him that will only happen if he gets rid of all that lawn!

Actually it’s the hard work of applying sacks of grit to the borders, once you’ve battered the lumps of clay down; then adding sackfuls of soil improver and forking it in. Only then can we start planting . . . but we’re getting there :)

That sounds like hard work...I know how that feels! :)
