For Bamboo and Arbuthnot (the latter had a question about hers)

Thanks Shirley. Not a good angle though . . . I think I should have knelt down to take the pic!

Nice one Sheila. Is this 2 different flowers on one vine? How unusual.

The flowers are all on the one plant Paul - one expert on here thinks the lack of purple stamens might be due to it being in its first year.

It looks lovely as it is at the moment, I like the differences in it.

Is t it lovely?! Never seen that before. Looks like they accidentally put two different babies together...pistachio and sieboldii. Doesnt look like any kind of cold damage or anything...but I’m not an expert.

Thanks Chris and Karen!

Thank you Sheila. I am very reassured. It actually looks pretty with blooms that have different coloured stamens. The green stamens look like Alba Florida Plena and when I looked it up Sieboldii is, apparently, a sister plant. Seems like we have the best of both then. Lucky, aren't we?

Yes we are lucky Arbuthnot, and I’m glad you’re comforted!
