Yes, it is.
You can't believe how many times they've been saying it's going to cool down here. It just keeps getting hotter. The Pacific Ocean temps off San Diego's coast are still amazingly warm. It's been 3 weeks at record-warmth levels.

What a tree to have your so lucky to have such colours around your streets.

That's a lovely tree! Wish we could have something like that here at this time of the year as the streets look so bare. In the spring we have lots of flowering trees for a few weeks but the rest of the year there's nothing to be seen!

Yes, lots of flowering trees here in San Diego. The Cassia leptophylla (Gold Medallion) trees are in full bloom now, also. Jacaranda, Bauhina, and Tipuana tipu are done flowering. By late September many of the tropical fall and winter trees will start.

Balcony..what about Mimosa(Albizia) ? Does that bloom well in the UK?

Yes, it does & I know of at least one tree here in this town, in a private garden. Unfortunately it's not grown nearly as much as it deserves to be. If I had a garden I'd like to grow one but on a balcony there's not much room for trees - of any size!

Looks pretty close to a full bloom..that heat has done it nothing but good.
Funny thing here? Twice now they said "high 70's" and it shot up to high 80's and even a low 90f. I never seen them get it so wrong before. Not sure whats going on..haven't seen the news just been busy.
