At Rosemoor before Christmas, I saw a pot of primroses, ivy and (I must admit) 3 white hyacinths. It looked very pretty but its price was not! The cost was £30!!
I decided to create my own and with the help of a reward voucher from my garden centre I ended up paying £6.50!! I do have some white hyacinths planted in another pot so won't even miss out on those!

That's very pretty and well done - DIY is more satisfying as well as being just as attractive isn't it? What will you do with it when the flowers are over?

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Stera, I might plant the primroses in our bank and replace the gaps with pansies or something else that is dainty.

I love primroses ! I brought quite a few with me, but haven't got round to planting them .

The prims will love being on a bank - that's where they do best round here.

I did ask if you bought the arrangement you mentioned in your other blog, but I've now realised you had more sense after reading this! The fact that you have created this lovely arrangement must give you much more satisfaction too.
