That's stunning!

Beautiful colours! The pink is so striking. Love sunset photography.

Thanks this happens generally in the colder months. Not sure why the colors are so striking except there's snow up there in those clouds.

Good picture Paul. Lovely to see it getting lighter and yes we've had some wonderful sunrises and sunsets.

Lovely picture. Saved it to my favourites. Will try an watercolor painting

Thank You. Would love to see your painting when you're finished. I love watercolor painting. It reminds me of impressionist painting.

OMG, It's lovely Paul

Thanks Johnjoe

Wow - what a gorgeous sky :)))

Thanks Sheila We do get some spectacular sunsets around here - How are you? The garden will be waking up soon.

8 Feb, 2019

Thanks Paul . . . I'm fine, and very much looking forward to Spring and getting my hands dirty in the garden as soon as the weather gets a little warmer . . .

8 Feb, 2019

Me too - some fine people on this site mailed me various kinds of seeds. Looking forward to seeing them grow.

8 Feb, 2019

How lovely - yes that sounds fun! Where do you germinate them (I have a feeling you don’t have a greenhouse)?

8 Feb, 2019

LOL, I don't. I use a spare back bedroom which has plenty of big east and south facing windows. It usually works out well and I can grow several flats of seeds (unless Costello knocks something over). How's your new garden coming along? Are you happy with the end result of the makeover? Any new projects on the horizon?

8 Feb, 2019

Sounds perfect. I’m amazed that we can chat in real time . . . just like Skype and it’s free.

8 Feb, 2019

Exactly, much better than 'snail mail' and those long distance charges.

8 Feb, 2019

Not for the first time, I appreciate living in the 21st century ... we’re lucky aren’t we?

8 Feb, 2019

Oh yes! especially if you need to go to the dentist.

8 Feb, 2019

Lol Paul!

8 Feb, 2019

I've seen some of those old dental instruments & practices Sheila. I'm sure I would pass out! The novocaine didn't work too well. That's what scares me most about the olden days - THE DENTIST!

8 Feb, 2019

Don’t be scared Paul - just say to yourself, it’s OK, it’s 2019!

8 Feb, 2019

Red sky at night...sailor's delight...
Red sky at morning... sailor's warning.
We are experiencing terribly high winds, up here, Paul... What's doing in NYS?

8 Feb, 2019

Kinda hard to describe the weather here at the moment Lori - kinda foggy, misty, not too cold but the weather people keep talking about the big storm on the way but it just never seems to get here. Almost spring like today with a misty fog who knows what tomorrow will bring? lol

How are you doing up there in Ontario, Lori? Have you had much snow? We haven't had a single snowflake this season, but we've been affected by the Polar Vortex. Apparently there's a big storm heading my way, but I've been hearing that all season. Not sure what to believe at this point.

The colours are wonderful! Is this sunrise or sunset? the polar vortex is taking another swing at us too, Paul. It must be a huge polar high pressure front because the winds blew at about 60 mph for almost 24 hours! Even with melting we've had the snow is still about 12 inches deep and drifting. We've had crazy swings in temp... minus 30's to hovering around zero with freezing rain...then back down again and snow, snow, snow! I hope the little groundhog who didn't see his shadow is right and spring comes earlier this year. We can sure use the break!

9 Feb, 2019

It's sunset. Same here with the temperature swings. I can't remember ever having a snow-less winter. Climate change?

9 Feb, 2019

We lived in the far north of the Province for a decade back in the 90's... the global warming was fealt much earlier up there... the first el nino we experienced was in '93 and it was 10 degrees above on New Years Eve... then we had the January from hell... even day time high temps never got above minus 20 C for most of it. The following August we had a second summer with hot dry winds from the south and winter didn't return until November..(which is a month later than normal) the Polar vortex weather we're experiencing was the norm, up north... the growing season is very short. We had snow in every month except July (arctic summer) in the "normal years"... lol.
