Did these come out of the same pot? Dawn. Obviously not the same parentage. I did drop 3 trays of germinated seed.

Yes, it must have come out of the same pot, I love it, couple more dark ones in bud - it’s so exciting.

Yes if you wish, although with the modern cultivars (often they would not be open pollinated as bees find difficulty accessing the flower), the dead flower will wither and drop off.. Dawn, be aware the terminal flower usually has a second bud tight to the first. After that adjacent bud has flowered I take off as greenfly lurk in the the papery spathe. Leave the leaves alone, the commercial Boys cut into Vs for ease of transport, but you can cut off any bits of brown leaves as they can't protosynthizise any more and might promote neck rot.
