Heron seen at our local River Gardens Park today.

look out fishies! My neice calls these guys "pteradactyls"...they have cleaned out her expensive Koi pond...and she is not a fan.

Well captured, such a huge wingspan on these birds!!

We had a pond when we lived down the road, and a Heron had some of the fish. Although we've had to cover our barrel pond here as Magpies had a few of our goldfish.

Have you? Oh dear, we get a lot of Magpies!! If I don't see the fish for sometime I will know where they have gone!!

isn't nature wonderful? lol... My neice maintains that she saw a bullfrog take a sparrow from her pond. wonder if the heron got the bullfrog?

I suppose when creatures get hungry enough they will eat what they can Lori.
