I'm a bit infatuated with the lovely leaves..don't care if it has flowers..that will be icing on the cake. I planted one just inside the greenhouse door and the other out by the stream. The one in the streambed is more compact and probably because of the drought, which has dried up the creekbed, it's growing more slowly than the one in the greenhouse, which has buds... will get a pic of the flowers soon. If it will grow to 6 ft.+++ it will be welcome as it's not a toxic nightmare like the other "architecturals" I've tried. (Ricinus?)

Since this picture it has grown another couple of feet in height, HSG. the flower heads are like plumes..so I guess the name makes sense. pretty golden peachy colour and a faint scent. I rather like it and hope it is a true perennial for me. I don't see anything like seeds developing so I'll have to ask the lady who gave it to me about winter protection.

I had to look this one up, apparently it seldom needs staking in spite of its 2m height! So Crocus tells me..but I think probably more suited to larger gardens. It'll look wonderful in your grounds.
