Aloidendron tongaensis in mid winter bloom. Where would we be in California without the South African plants?

It is actually very common around here and blooms for Christmas.

A.tongaensis or A. barberae?..the latter is the really huge tree Aloe with yellow flowers. One locally looks to be ready to bloom for January, Wylie. They are kind of rare for the SF bay area. Surprised to see that one.
