Thank you ladies. It looks to be a sunny new year..about 16C. Nothing to attract snowbirds...but a nice day overall I think for the time of year-ha.

Wish I was with you Stan ... only 8C here with a very grey sky.

When its afternoon and crystal clear with no breeze, Shirley,16C could pass as a nice day. It's supposed to last until next weekend. As rainy as last winter seemed to be? We are ahead of that pace this year.
Meaning a large snowpack in the Sierras makes for summer watering for gardens. No rationing.
I think most of the world is shocked that in California we have fairly abundant treated clean water with no summer rains whatsoever..it's all tap water. Yet,for us,that's the way it's always been until a drought in 1976-77 and 2013-2015 reminded us and me..try to keep succulents!..but I slip every now and then with a jungle plant-lol.

Stan, 1976 was the year of the long, hot Summer in the UK, also the year I met the man who is now my husband of 41 years! Our temp today could reach double figures, 10 degrees, woohoo!
