Do you find they do better in the open? Amy, sunny or shady spot?

I believe they do well in both positions Sue but I have noticed they open up more when they have some sunshine on their faces , they start to close up once the sun fades ..

I have groups in sun and shade and both flower well , though the shady ones are usually a week or 2 behind the sunny ones.
