White bush close

Here a closer photo. This particular bush I will remove from the site and transfer to my garden. I will also transfer one of the Scoparia dulcis as the tea fights Diabetes II and will be good for my husband.

I've zoomed into this photo but still can't make out the flowers or the leaves very well. could you get a photo of just the one flower head & some leaves? If you post a question in the question section of GoY, with a couple of photos as I've suggested above, perhaps you will receive more help that way.

I just posted a closer view of the flower. It was identified by a member of the Bothanical Identification. It is Escallonia Bífida, and is native to Brazil :))))

Sounds very good! We have nothing but a row of terrace houses to look at from our living room windows! Thank goodness for all the lovely flowers I'm able to grow on our balcony! :)

Your balcony is a paradise, also your kitchn with a lot of amarilys. USA, Canada, UK and almost every european country houses have armored windows, with double glasses, it keeps the weather and tho sounds outside. Here in Brazil the windows have only one glass, and I can hear the noise from outside.
One of the most common complaints among foreign teachers when they stay in Brazil, is hearing the traffic noise.

I suppose we are lucky as our flat has double glazed windows, too! Just as well because we live on a road that has got busier & busier over the 18 years we have lived here! Although it does help to keep some of the cold out when we close our curtains, which have a thermal lining, we notice quite a difference in the warmth of our living room! So, although double glazing makes a difference, having thermal lined curtains makes that difference even greater!

Thank you. In your comment I learned that the right expression is double glazed windows. Now, there is a word in portuguese "blindado", that means something with perfect insulation for the external environment. Google translated the word as "armored", is that right?

Yes, that's right. Just that we call it "Double Glazing" here as it's two pieces of glass with a vacuum between them so that, in theory at least, nothing should be able to cross over the vacuum. Sound needs air so that it is transmitted so no air = no sound. Yet we still hear some sound from outside. Not nearly as much as if it were only single glazing fortunately!
