This making a nice show and without any skill from me bought in a packet last autumn and popped in a pot the clever bit would be if they retained there size to flower 2021,I say it is never hot enough to ripen the bulbs here but a friend in Scotland grows them in the open ground, I still have a lot to learn.

all of my reticulata and histeroides are out in the open ground. Katherine Hodgkin behaves well and as long as she doesn't get too damp she clumps up nicely. I do have several in pots too and they just get some granular feed after flowering and left to their own devices on the pond wall. Go on be brave... pop half in a well drained sunny spot and see what happens. :o)

The only ones that never seem to reappear are I danfordiae, they just break down into bulbils the size of rice grains.

Well, they look absolutely beautiful Brian. Very healthy looking indeed. Lovely colours too. Much nicer than Katherine Hodgkin which I always think looks washed out.

Seaburngirl Well drained sunny spots 2018 might have found a couple but 2019 they just did not exist ,last year was the first year I can remember that I did not have to put tap water into my barrels
