I see you have the usual kink in the eucalyptus. They never grow straight! Very brave to go up there with no hands left to steady himself. Have got him well insured? ;) Poor Peter, not even a hard hat or a crash mat!

The temptation for them to climb up a ladder with pruning shears in their hands is just too great to resist!!!
Hope he is now safely down ready to think about the next challenge!

Now that's exactly the kind of thing my OH does ,he's fallen off more times than I care to remember ..

I wish my OH would do my ladder pruning, he'd just cut the plant down from the bottom, well he's not a gardener! I hate going up the ladder.

Karen he has much better balance than me, he actually enjoys pruning, I feel better now that he has this ladder, used by tree surgeons and endorsed by Monty Don! although he has the expensive Japanese version!
Siris I cant say I enjoy it either......Peter has always done the trees and the roses, he will be able to do the Olive now, we had to get a tree surgeon in last year twice!

Wildrose yes all done..... just the rest of the trees/shrubs and roses to do.!

Dd. Did you get the tree surgeon in for your Olive? I know mature trees get very gnarly and the wood very tough. I pruned the whippy shoots on my Olive yesterday they were above the 6ft fence and blowing in the wind.

Siris we had him in to do the Olive and the Holly.......the Olive trees grow very fast once they get their feet down....
