We adopted Eve and brought her home on Monday afternoon, on our way home from Scotland.
She was a rescue cat from the RSPCA, and was being fostered by a wonderful woman in easy Yorkshire.
She is so easy to love, such a cutie.

Thanks Wildrose, I’ve taken this coming week of work, just to get her settled in. This past week she’s been quite clingy, but starting to gain more confidence as the days go on.

Wow! She is the double of our cat Minnie who isn't with us anymore but she and her twin brother used to follow me all over when we lived at Willow Cottage. Even though its a few years ago, I still miss them ! You will get a lot of pleasure from your little one.

Thanks Rose and Thrup! I bet you miss them dearly, I can imagine even after a bit of time has passed, Rose. Little heart grabbers aren’t they!

HOW LOVELY THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN THIS LOVELY LITTLE CAT A HOME. I'M SURE SHE'LL GET LOTS OF LOVE KATE. THEY ALWAYS TAKE A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO SETTLE INTO THEIR NEW SURROUNDINGS. YOU'LL HAVE A GOOD AND FAITHFUL FRIEND THERE. THE LAST TWO CATS THAT WE HAD WERE RESCUE'S AND THEY TURNED OUT TO BE HAPPY AND SECURE. WHEN THEY PASSED AWAY WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE.

She is the double of our daughter's cat Dagon. All 3 of hers were rescues.

I love cats. Unfortunatelly can't have them. My son is allergic. But, if I could, certainly would be a rescued one.

Julia, what a sad thing to happen. How awful for you all, especially your son..very upsetting.
Thanks Linda, she’s been a lovely addition to our home. Bit clingy still and sleeping next to us. Hopefully after the two weeks and a bit of freedom, she’ll gain some confidence!
Eileen, love the name Dagon. Bet it suits your daughter’s cat!
That’s a pity, Aleyna, but better to be safe. Saying that, my brother in law in Scotland is allergic, but they don’t come down often - we go there.

She is very like our Mixie. We had Mixie at our first home and we had to rehome her when Callum was little and we realised he was very allergic to her. But she lived to a good age in her new home. She was a very intelligent Cat. One time I told her off when I found her weeing in the sink...only to discover that her cat flap was jammed. Clever cat! :) she was also clever enough to seek out a neighbour who fed her roast chicken. Sadly it wasn’t great for her health and we ended up paying the price (literally) as she got really bad skin as she wasn’t eating her healthy food. So after that we had to keep her in a lot. Great cat though, just like yours with a white bib and paws. :)

Thanks, Arija.
Good tips Karen re. Making sure her car flap is working and to keep, giving her proper cat food, thank you.
Mixie sounds a lovely, intelligent cat like you say. Sounds like they adapt pretty well!! Good to hear.
It’s sad, but people are allergic to pets. My brother in law, my sister's husband has several allergies, cats included. He’s ok with dogs, fortunately. They have a border collie. ☺️

We have had many cats special breeds and rescue over the years, then I became allergic to them....had to take pills.....so when they departed we never had any more ...still miss them now.....enjoy your little one..

Thanks Dd, she is easy to love. My mum is allergic to cats, she seems ok when she takes her tablets. She said when she was a child she had a cat and a dog and was fine then. Things can change when you get older I guess.

Odd isn’t it how you can become allergic to things as you get older..☹️

It was heart breaking Kate ,someone had found her tied up with wire in a lay-by as a kitten and took her to a rescue centre our daughter saved her and brought her to us. we loved her to bits ..

She looks as if she is a little sweetheart and reminds me of one of our cats from many years ago called Sooty. She is very cute indeed.
