Raised from seed, this is the first flower to open. You really can't find the more unusual species except as seed.

There are 7 species of Gladiolus that have an unusual form (the other Gladiolus huttonii that I posted is normal). This is very similar to G. pulcherrimus. The bulbs are small - about the size of a pea. Now that it has reached flowering stage, I hope it starts dividing.
