Karen that reminds me of an Enid Blyton book I had as a child. 'Pips adventures and other stories'. In it a fairy princess married and as they walked under the May blossom the west wind gentle blew the petals off for confetti. That image has always stuck in my memory.
We usually find bridal parties having wedding photos taken infront/under the tree. We have a Mediaeval church opposite the tree.
I feel so sorry for all those couples who cant go ahead after all the planning and expense.
This one is losing the blossom now, looks like it has been snowing.

When my daughter Rachel was a teenager she had a dream of being married under a Cherry Tree and having the blossom falling on her...she is such a romantic soul....and then we ended up having a winter wedding! lol! But Cherry blossom is indeed the best confetti! and thank goodness we DID have a winter wedding, or we would have had no wedding at all!
